Description
This illustration, drawn by Peyo, first appeared on the cover of the *Spirou* magazine (Christmas Special) on 14 December 1967.
It brings together all the characters from *Johan and Peewit*, on their way to Mass.
To mark its 50th anniversary, Zédibulle Éditions is releasing it for the first time as an enamel plaque in collaboration with the Belgian enamelling workshop.
This illustration, published on the cover of *Spirou* magazine, is significant in more ways than one in Peyo’s career, as it marks the return of Johan and Peewit to the pages of the magazine after a long absence of more than five years. It heralds the start of the serialisation of the thirteenth and final story of Johan and Peewit, *Le Sortilège de Maltrochu*.
It is the only illustration in the entire series to feature all its main characters. Furthermore, Peyo very rarely had the privilege of having his work featured on the front cover of *Spirou* magazine, let alone for this series. These are the two cover panels of the magazine, which makes this all the more exceptional – a unique achievement for Peyo.
