This sculpture depicts, in part, the final panel on page 25 of volume 7, entitled ‘The Smurf Apprentice’. This comic book is the 17th story in Peyo’s “The Smurfs” series, published by Dupuis in 1971.
The work was created to the highest standards in 2013 in Paris by Jean-Marie Pigeon in his studio. Published by Tony Dhaussy – Zédibulle – exclusively for his website WWW.ZEDIBULLE.FR
A SOL3 microchip is embedded in the piece, which comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jean-Marie Pigeon.
An ARTtrust bubble seal is affixed to the piece, which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Jean-Marie Pigeon.
The piece is delivered in a bespoke wooden case featuring an image of Gargamel and the two Smurfs, with thermoformed foam to support the base.
