THE FLYING SMURF

Papa Smurf asks Brainy Smurf and another Smurf to go and gather some nuts. Whilst climbing a tree to pick an apple, the Smurf falls and gets the idea of flying. Back in the village, he tries to do so in various ways: he makes himself wings out of feathers and then out of a parasol, builds a kite, straddles a broomstick, makes himself some springs, builds a rocket, a catapult and a hot-air balloon, and manages to get inside a soap bubble… But all these attempts end in failure, and the Flying Smurf is constantly chased by the other Smurfs, from whom he has stolen various objects. Finally, he brews a potion that makes him so light he can fly away…

the bubble is made of glass and is not glued into the bowl of the pipe.
