The Smurfs & Co., a Peyo special in a collector’s box set.
A collaboration with Cac3D – a first for him and for me, as I am the co-author.
The book is 110 pages long and lists collectables featuring the Smurfs, Johan and Peewit, Benoît Brisefer, and manufacturers such as Like An Angel, Leblon, Fariboles, Pixi and others, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the lovely figurine and an interview with the sculptor.
It will be accompanied by the Poet Smurf, complete with his quill, inkwell, three scrolls, a base featuring mushrooms and daisies, and a certificate of authenticity.
The entire set is made of metal, finely sculpted by Céline Godard (Peewit on Biquette, Johan on his horse)
. The scrolls are made of paper bearing the inscription ‘Zédibulle’; even the wax seal is included.
Hand-cast, assembled and painted by a high-quality workshop, Like An Angel.
This set is due to be released in January 2018 to mark the 60th anniversary of The Smurfs.
A limited edition, numbered to 100 pieces.
