To kick off this new ‘Emblem’ series, we needed a character we could rely on! Chief Abraracourcix himself describes him as his ‘most dependable’ warrior, so there was no hesitation: Asterix will be our standard-bearer!
I was inspired by this splendid drawing by Uderzo, whose power never fails to amaze me, and I took immense pleasure in sculpting him, standing firmly on his two legs and beaming with the honour bestowed upon him by this distinction, the most indomitable of all the indomitable!
Once in your home, at a height befitting his reputation, he’ll fill you with all the optimism and good humour he’s capable of – guaranteed!
